SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)

Charter; Town of Dumfries. Provides that candidates for town offices shall not be identified on the ballot by political affiliation. Other changes (i) clarify the method of filling council vacancies; (ii) provide that the seat of a council member who voluntarily misses three consecutive council meetings shall be deemed vacant; (iii) simplify the procedure for passing a town ordinance; (iv) delete definitions for "publish" and "posting"; (v) provide that the town manager shall have those powers and duties granted by the council; (vi) amend the listing of town departments; and (vii) correct outdated references.
