031708648Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 1 of Chapter 891 of the Acts of Assembly of 2002 is amended and reenacted as follows:
All school boards in Virginia shall prominently post (i) the text of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, along with the statement, "The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, ratified December 15, 1791"; and (ii) the statement, "'In God We Trust,' the National Motto, enacted by Congress in 1956", in a conspicuous place in each of their schools for all students to read.
The Office of the Attorney General shall intervene on behalf of local school boards and shall provide legal defense of the provisions of this section.
