SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Guardianship and conservatorship; costs and fees. Authorizes the court to provide for payment from the respondent's estate for costs and fees incurred by petitioners even if a guardian or conservator is not appointed if the court finds that the petition is brought in good faith and for the benefit of the respondent.
SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Guardianship and conservatorship; court costs and fees for attorneys. Authorizes the court to provide for payment from the respondent's estate for fees and costs incurred by petitioners even if a guardian or conservator is not appointed if the court finds that the petition is brought in good faith and for the benefit of the respondent. The bill also provides that the Commonwealth shall bear the cost of the fees for the petitioner's attorney, the respondent's attorney and the guardian ad litem if the respondent is indigent.
