AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE

A BILL authorizing the Department of Conservation and Recreation to amend a lease by and between the Secretary of the Army, Lessor, and the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Conservation and Recreation, Lessee, for Occoneechee State Park, Mecklenburg County.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That, in accordance with and as evidence of General Assembly approval pursuant to §§ 10.1-104 and 10.1-109 of the Code of Virginia, the Department of Conservation and Recreation is hereby authorized to amend on behalf of the Commonwealth, upon terms and conditions the Department deems proper, with approval of the Governor and in a form approved by the Attorney General, that certain lease by and between the Secretary of the Army and the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Conservation and Recreation, and to enter into a sublease on behalf of the Commonwealth, upon terms and conditions the Department deems proper, with approval of the Governor and in a form approved by the Attorney General, with any public entity for Occoneechee State Park in Mecklenburg County.

§ 2. The purpose of said amendment shall be to provide additional recreational facilities at Occoneechee State Park.
