SENATE BILL NO. 133 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources on January 21, 2002) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Senator Stolle) A BILL to amend and reenact the second enactment of Chapter 1010 of the Acts of Assembly of 2000, as amended by Chapter 407 of the Acts of Assembly of 2001, and to amend and reenact the second enactment of Chapter 727 of the Acts of Assembly of 2001, relating to animal pounds and shelters.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the second enactment of Chapter 1010 of the Acts of Assembly of 2000, as amended by Chapter 407 of the Acts of Assembly of 2001, is amended and reenacted as follows:

2. That the provisions of this act shall become effective on January 1, 2002 2003.

2. That the second enactment of Chapter 727 of the Acts of Assembly of 2001, is amended and reenacted as follows:

2. That the provisions of this act shall become effective on January 1, 2002 2003.

3. That the provisions of the first and the second enactments of this act shall become retroactively effective on January 1, 2002.

4. That an emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
