VIRGINIA ACTS OF ASSEMBLY -- CHAPTER An Act to prohibit the naming of any state-funded institution, building, park, road, bridge, or other structure after sitting members of the General Assembly. [H 618] Approved

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. It shall be the policy of the Commonwealth that no state-funded institution, building, park, road, bridge, or other structure shall be named after a sitting member of the General Assembly.

2. That the provisions of this act shall not apply to any institution, building, park, road or bridge named prior to July 1, 2002, whether or not construction has begun or has been completed.
