Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the Purple Loosestrife in any of its forms is hereby declared a noxious weed and regulated as such under the Noxious Weed Law (§ 3.1-296.11 et seq.). The Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the Commissioner of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services shall perform those duties and powers provided for under the provisions of the Noxious Weed Law to regulate Purple Loosestrife as a noxious weed.
