SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE: (all summaries)
Public Procurement Act; court reporting services. Provides that, notwithstanding any other provision of law, the provisions of the Public Procurement Act shall apply to the procurement of court reporting services by courts of record located in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, and Chesapeake. The bill also requires JLARC to study the procurement of court reporting services required under the bill and report its findings to the General Assembly by December 1, 2000.
