Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 11-35.1 as follows:

§ 11-35.1. Procurement of court reporters by clerks of courts of record.

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the provisions of this chapter shall apply to the procurement of court reporter services by clerks of courts of record.
