Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That the Virginia Department of Transportation shall, upon the request of an owner or operator of a canoe launching area or facility, erect and maintain, at an appropriate location within a highway right-of-way, a sign providing directions to such an area or facility. The costs of erecting and maintaining the sign shall be borne by the Virginia Department of Transportation.
