SUMMARY:
Constitutional amendment (first resolution); prohibition on casino gambling. Proposes a permanent moratorium on all newly legalized forms of casino gambling such as slot machines, banking card games, and keno. The proposal also prohibits the Lottery Board from authorizing any form of casino gambling. Laws enacted before January 1, 1997, which authorize various forms of gaming are not repealed by the new prohibition.
