SUMMARY:
Criminal justice services; private security services businesses. Excludes from the definition of "electronic security equipment" devices attached to wearing apparel used for theft deterrence. The bill also broadens the exemption for licensed architects and engineers from licensure as a private security services business. Currently, the exemption only applies in cases where the licensed architectural or engineering firm did design specifications or consulting work where security was a part of the overall contract.
