SUMMARY:
Sales and use tax exemption; educational organizations. Grants a sales and use tax exemption to any nonprofit organization exempt from taxation under § 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and organized as a consortium of not less than 40 private, historically black colleges and universities for the purposes of raising funds, providing program services, and offering technical services to support its member institutions and their students. United Negro College Fund, Inc., would be among the beneficiaries of this exemption. Identical to SB 120.
