SB 364 Voluntary Apprenticeship Programs.

SUMMARY:

Voluntary apprenticeship programs. Transfers the responsibility for establishing policies to coordinate apprenticeship-related instruction delivered by state and local public education agencies from the Apprenticeship Council to the Board for the Virginia Community College System; the Apprenticeship Council may advise the State Board on such policies. The Chancellor, with the approval of the State Board, shall provide for the administration and supervision of related and supplemental instruction for apprentices.

This bill is identical to HB 471 and conforms statutory language with budget action taken in 1995.
