SUMMARY:

Virginia Retirement System; survivor benefits. Provides that after a member has attained at least twenty-five years of creditable service, survivor benefits paid pursuant to § 51.1-162 (death before retirement) or § 51.1-163 (death after retirement) shall be equal to each other.
