963157446WHEREAS, Carl A. Haines, a prominent Winchester businessman, died on November 9, 1995; and
WHEREAS, until his retirement, Carl Haines owned and operated two businesses, Haines Memorials and the Red Lion Tavern, that have been part of the Winchester scene for generations; and
WHEREAS, Carl Haines was a charter member and past president of the Winchester Exchange Club and was an enthusiastic and tireless advocate for the City of Winchester; and
WHEREAS, widely respected and admired in his community, Carl A. Haines leaves a lasting legacy of community service and dedication to the citizens of Winchester; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly mourn the passing of one of Winchester's finest citizens, Carl A. Haines; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Carl A. Haines as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for his memory.
