A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 29.1-600.2, and to repeal Article 4.1:1 (§§ 3.1-763.5:1 through 3.1-763.5:8) of Chapter 27 of Title 3.1 of the Code of Virginia, relating to shooting preserves and enclosures.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 29.1-600.2 as follows:

§ 29.1-600.2. Prohibition on shooting animals other than game animals.

It is unlawful for any person to shoot, attempt to shoot, or take on a shooting preserve any animal or bird that is not a game animal as defined in § 29.1-100. This section shall not prohibit any person from shooting, attempting to shoot, or taking of any animal or bird that is a nuisance species as defined in § 29.1-100.

2. That Article 4.1:1 (§§ 3.1-763.5:1 through 3.1-763.5:8) of Chapter 27 of Title 3.1 of the Code of Virginia is repealed.
