SUMMARY:

Education of the public and practitioners on acute and cancer pain management. Calls on various medical schools, health professionals, professional associations, state agencies and regulatory boards to assist the Joint Subcommittee Studying Acute and Cancer Pain Management in educating the public and practitioners on acute and cancer pain management. The above entities and other interested parties are encouraged to participate in the development and implementation of a pain-management summit to be conducted if private cooperation and support can be obtained. This resolution is a recommendation of the Joint Subcommittee Studying Acute and Cancer Pain Management.
