SUMMARY:

Commission on Early Childhood and Child Day Care Programs. Expands the responsibility of the Commission in reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating early childhood and child day care programs. The bill also decreases the membership of the Commission from 20 to 15 by replacing agency head members with the Secretaries of Health and Human Resources and Education, and by decreasing the citizen membership from 3 to 2. The sunset provision has been extended to July 1, 1998.
