1995 SESSION
(SB759)GOVERNOR'S VETO EXPLANATION
Pursuant to § 6 of Article V of the Constitution of Virginia, I am vetoing Senate Bill 759.
The primary effect of this legislation is to remove gubernatorial appointees from the Commission on Early Childhood and Child Day Care Programs. The bill also eliminates representatives of the business community and local government from the Commission. I do not believe these changes in membership would contribute to the achievement of the Commission's mission.
