SUMMARY:
Certificates of public need. Exempts nonprofit hospitals located in the City of Richmond that provide primarily ear, eye, and nose treatment, seek to relocate within the City, and commit to decreasing the number of licensed beds by more than 50 percent from the requirement of applying for and obtaining a certificate of public need for construction projects to relocate or renovate. The total capital costs are established. This statute will only apply for the first time that the hospital uses the law.
