Introduced by: H. Morgan Griffith | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Tuition assistance grants; determinations of residency. Grants the enrolling institutions authority to make determinations of domicile for purposes of the Tuition Assistance Grants (TAG) Program, consistent with the residency requirements articulated in § 23-7.4 and the State Council of Higher Education's guidelines for domiciliary status determinations. The Council will require all participating institutions to file student specific data and will monitor the domiciliary status decisions of these institutions. The Council will also make final decisions on any disputes between the institutions and the grant recipients and will report to the Governor and the General Assembly, as deemed necessary, on issues related to domiciliary status determinations for students receiving tuition assistance grants.
