LD2835200Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 9-182.1 as follows:
§ 9-182.1. Waiver of compulsory training.
Any person who engaged in the business of private investigation prior to 1976 and has continued to be a private investigator since that time shall be entitled to apply for and secure from the Department, without meeting the compulsory training standards established by the Board, a license to engage in the private security services business in the Commonwealth, provided all other requirements of this article are complied with and application is made on or before September 1, 1995.
