1995 SESSION
LD4154156Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 8.01-5.1 as follows:
§ 8.01-5.1. Joinder of parties.
Two or more parties may be joined as plaintiffs in a single action if their claims involve common issues of fact and arise out of the same transaction or occurrence or series of transactions or occurrences. On motion of any defendant, and a showing that joinder will not promote the ends of justice nor the just and efficient conduct and disposition of the action, the court may order separate trials on any or all of the issues and may require special interrogatories.
