CHAPTER 530 An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Chapter 1 of Title 2.1 a section numbered 2.1-7.1, relating to development of policies and regulations by state agencies. [H 2444] Approved March 23, 1995

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Chapter 1 of Title 2.1 a section numbered 2.1-7.1 as follows:

§ 2.1-7.1. Consideration of certain issues in policy development.

In the formulation and implementation of policies and regulations, each department and division of the executive branch and those boards affiliated with a state agency within the executive branch shall consider the impact of such policies and regulations on family formation, stability, and autonomy. This section shall not be construed to confer a right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the Commonwealth, its agencies, officers, or any other person.
