SB 388 School board salaries.

SUMMARY:

School board salaries. Increases the maximum salary that may be paid to school board members from $100 to $2,400 in the City of Martinsville and from $1,500 to $2,400 in Surry County. This provision also requires that school boards, whose membership is elected in whole or in part, must vote on their salary increases before being awarded any salary increase. HB 524 increases the maximum school board salary in Nottoway County from $1,200 to $2,400.
