HB 935 Conflict of Interests Act.

Introduced by: Harry R. Purkey | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Conflict of Interests Acts; real estate interests and leases; disclosure. Provides a separate schedule on the statements of economic interests for the disclosure of real estate contracts with any governmental agency whenever the person filing the statement or a member of his immediate family has an interest valued at $10,000 or more in the real estate or, in the case of a lease, an interest valued at $1,000 or more. The disclosure requirement with respect to leases does not apply to an interest derived through ownership of a business unless the ownership interest exceeds three percent of the equity in the business. The new schedule is added to the form filed by state and local officials and employees and to the form filed by members of the General Assembly.
