SUMMARY:
Moratorium on certificates of public need. Extends the moratorium on certificates of public need for nursing facility or extended care services from June 30, 1995, to June 30, 1996. A second enacting clause requires the Commissioner of Health, in cooperation with the Department of Medical Assistance Services and other public and private entities, to evaluate the continued need for the moratorium on the issuance of certificates of public need and to report findings to the Joint Commission on Health Care by November, 1994.
