22104301DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 2 of Chapter 13 of Title 30 a section numbered 30-103.3 as follows:
§ 30-103.3. Certain stocks prohibited.
A member of the General Assembly, during his term of office, shall not own any security that is issued by a public service corporation, including any security issued by the parent, affiliate, or subsidiary of a public service corporation.
This section shall not be construed to prohibit a member of the General Assembly from owning such a security in a diversified mutual fund or diversified unit investment trust, as those terms are defined in 5 CFR 2640.201.
For purposes of this section, "security" shall be defined as in § 13.1-501 and "public service corporation" shall be defined as in § 56-1.
