SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Manufacturing Development Commission; duties. Requires the Manufacturing Development Commission to identify businesses engaged in light manufacturing, as defined in the bill, that (i) have 200 to 300 employees, (ii) are economically viable businesses located in other states, territories, or countries, and (iii) would be well suited for and contribute to the economic environment and business activities of the Commonwealth. The bill requires the Commission to advise the General Assembly and the Governor on policies that would induce light manufacturing businesses to locate their operations in the Commonwealth.
