Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1.  That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 10.1-409.1 as follows:

§ 10.1-409.1. Lower Appomattox State Scenic River.

The Appomattox River along the boundary of Chesterfield County, excluding the Port Walthall Channel of the River, from the Route 36 Bridge downstream to the terminus at the confluence with the James River, a distance of 19.2 miles, is hereby designated a component of the Virginia Scenic Rivers System.
