SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE: (all summaries)
Board of Housing and Community Development; carbon monoxide detectors in certain rental dwelling units; report. Requires the installation of carbon monoxide detectors in college dormitories and assisted living facilities by July 1, 2010. The bill also requires the Board of Housing and Community Development to promulgate regulations to require the installation of carbon monoxide detectors in new college dormitories and assisted living facilities. In addition, the bill requires the Board and the Fire Services Board to joints establish a working group to develop a public education program focusing on the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning and preventive measures that may be taken.
