078112316Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 3.1-396.2 as follows:
§ 3.1-396.2. Labeling of crab meat; penalty.
It is unlawful for a processor of hand-picked crabmeat to offer for commercial sale any hand-picked crabmeat in a container that does not include on its label the date the crabmeat was processed and packed. Any processor violating the provisions of this section is guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor.
