SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE: (all summaries)
Virginia Commission on Higher Education Board Appointments. Codifies the Virginia Commission on Higher Education Board Appointments, which currently exists pursuant to Executive Order of the Governor. The Commission is required to (i) review and evaluate potential appointees to the boards of visitors of Virginia public institutions of higher education, the State Council of Higher Education, and the State Board for Community Colleges, and (ii) make recommendations to the Governor regarding appointments to these entities. The bill expires on July 1, 2008.
