SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Comprehensive Services Act; medical assistance services.  Mandates services to seriously emotionally disturbed children whose custody would otherwise have to be relinquished or entrusted by their parents or guardians to local social services agencies in order to receive needed mental health services, and whose parents or guardians cannot pay for such services as determined using ability-to-pay procedures and criteria established by the Office of Comprehensive Services. The bill directs the Director of the Department of Medical Assistance Services to develop and apply for a waiver to get Medicaid coverage for such services.
