SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

Sales tax; exemption for textbooks and other educational materials for free distribution. Extends the sunset date from July 1, 2004, to July 1, 2008, for textbooks and other educational materials withdrawn from inventory at book-publishing distribution facilities for free distribution to professors. This bill is identical to SB 347.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Sales tax; exemption for textbooks and other educational materials for free distribution. Extends the sunset date from July 1, 2004, to July 1, 2008, for textbooks and other educational materials withdrawn from inventory at book-publishing distribution facilities for free distribution to professors.
