SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 82 Offered January 14, 2004 Requesting the Senate Committee on Finance and the House Committee on Finance to continue reviewing the state tax code and tax policy issues. ---------- Patron-- Hanger ---------- Referred to Committee on Rules ----------

WHEREAS, for the past three years there have been legislative joint subcommittees examining the state tax code; and

WHEREAS, changes to the tax code have been put forth through legislation as a result of these studies; and

WHEREAS, tax policy is constantly changing, requiring further examination of the tax code; and

WHEREAS, there are two committees in the General Assembly that are responsible for defining tax policy; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the Senate Committee on Finance and the House Committee on Finance be requested to continue reviewing the state tax code and tax policy issues on an ongoing basis.
