SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Suspension of judges. Removes the provision that prohibits an investigation, formal hearing or suspension until the conclusion of the criminal case regarding the same matters in which the judge is a defendant. Under current law a suspension cannot be imposed or an investigation commenced until final disposition of the criminal case, including the exhaustion of all appeals. This bill is identical to HB 1838 (Howell).
