SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Suspension of judges. Removes the provision that prohibits an investigation, formal hearing or suspension until the conclusion of the criminal case regarding the same matters in which the judge is a defendant. Under current law a suspension cannot be imposed or an investigation commenced until final disposition of the criminal case, including the exhaustion of all appeals. This bill is identical to SB 990 (Stolle).
