SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Duties and responsibilities of local health departments in emergencies. Requires the Board of Health to establish in regulations the duties and responsibilities of local health departments during emergencies. The regulations must provide for the development of emergency management plans, resources available to local health departments, and the management of special populations during emergencies. Also, the regulations must require consultation and coordination with the Department of Emergency Management, and the Coordinator for Emergency Management, if applicable, in the development of emergency management plans and disaster and preparedness activities.
