SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Statewide Transportation Plan. Requires the Secretary of Transportation to develop a statewide transportation plan with a 20-year horizon and update that plan at least every five years. This plan supersedes the quinquennial assessment of highway needs by the Virginia Department of Transportation. This bill is the same as HB 2420 and was incorporated into SB 1213.
SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Statewide Transportation Plan. Requires the Secretary of Transportation to develop a statewide transportation plan with a 20-year horizon and update that plan at least every five years. This plan supersedes the quinquennial assessment of highway needs by the Virginia Department of Transportation. With the Senate Transportation Committee's amendments to HB 2420 (Wardrup), this bill and HB 2420 are identical.
