SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Water Quality Improvement Fund. Requires that a minimum of $10,000,000 be allocated annually from the state general fund to the Water Quality Improvement Fund. Currently, the appropriation to the Fund is an amount equal to 10 percent of the annual general fund revenue collections that are in excess of the official estimates in the general appropriation act, plus 10 percent of any unreserved general fund balance at the end of each fiscal year whose reappropriation is not required in the appropriation act. The Comptroller is directed to deposit these funds into the Fund by October 1 of each year.
