SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Reports made to the National Crime Information Center. Requires a law enforcement agency receiving a warrant or capias for the arrest of a person on a felony charge to enter the information into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), maintained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, within 72 hours of the receipt of the warrant or capias. Under current law, the 72-hour requirement only applies to entering information into the Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN). This bill is identical to SB 992 (Stolle).
