SUMMARY:
Procurement; information technology. Encourages public bodies to strive to solicit goods and nonprofessional services of responsible bidders or offerors located in Virginia to remediate computer problems associated with the "Year 2000" date change. The bill is a recommendation of the Joint Commission on Technology and Science. This bill has a sunset of January 1, 2001.
