SUMMARY:

Medical assistance services; premium assistance program for HIV-positive individuals. Repeals the sunset clause originally placed on this program for July 1, 1996, and modifies the language relating to the sole source of funding coming from the Ryan White CARE Act to allow for other federal or state funding appropriated or made available for this purpose. Since Congress is currently revising the Ryan White CARE Act, this amendment provides the flexibility which would be necessary if premium assistance programs would not be covered by the act or the funding would be modified.
