2022 SESSION
(HB339)GOVERNOR'S VETO
Pursuant to Article V, Section 6, of the Constitution of Virginia, I veto House Bill 339, which relates to the qualifications for members of boards and commissions in the City of Falls Church.
The failure of the legislature to adopt my proposed amendment that would have required the members of boards and commissions to be legally present in the United States would allow for the appointment of individuals currently in violation of federal law.
Accordingly, I veto this bill.
