21101714DBe it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 24.2-1000.1 as follows:
§ 24.2-1000.1. Intimidation of or interference with authorized representatives of party or candidate.
Any person who, through intimidation, physical obstruction, or other means in violation of the election laws, willfully interferes, or attempts to interfere, with a representative of a party or candidate duly authorized to observe the conduct of the election pursuant to § 24.2-604.4 in his lawful observation of such election is guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor.
