SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Remote update of motor vehicle software. Authorizes manufacturers and dealers to offer motor vehicle owners the option of sending future software updates remotely instead of going to a service facility or dealership for such updates. The bill prohibits operating a motor vehicle during a remote update.
