SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Real property tax; homestead tax relief. Permits a taxpayer to defer up to 95 percent of taxes on his homestead, defined in the bill, if the amount of real property tax on his homestead has increased by at least 25 percent since the date of purchase. The amount deferred must be paid upon transfer of the property or the owner's death.
