Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 22.1-215.2 as follows:

§ 22.1-215.2. Parental notice regarding literacy and Response to Intervention screening and services.

Each local school board shall enact a policy to require that notice is provided to the parents of any student who undergoes literacy and Response to Intervention screening and services.
